Single Trip
Cover for one single trip, up to 183 days in duration.

Start/End date
For the start date, please enter the date you will leave your home. For the end date, enter the date you will return home Please note that your policy automatically extends to provide cover if anyone named on the policy is unable to return home due to a reason covered by this policy.

Note: No cover is provided under any policy for any trip in, to, or through Afghanistan, Belarus, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, North Korea, Russia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria or Ukraine.

Please tell us about all of the countries you are visiting on your travels.

Your Trip dates

Cover starts when you leave your home and ceases when you return to your home.

Your Traveller Details

Individual - One person who is 18 years of age or over.

Couple - You and your spouse, including a civil partner or co-habitee

Family - You, your spouse (including civil partner or co-habitee) and up to 5 of your children aged 17 years and under(age at time of purchase). Cover is provided for single parent families and up to 5 of your children aged 17 years and under. In this description, 'children' includes children, step-children, adopted children, foster children and grandchildren.

Group - A group of individuals travelling together, who may not be related. A group can be up to 7 people.

Medical Declarations

Medical Declaration

A medical condition should be declared if you or anyone to be insured under this policy answers Yes to the following:

  1. Have you been prescribed medication in the last 12 months, whether you are taking it or not? This includes tablets (including Morphine based pain killers), inhalers or injections.
  2. Do you currently routinely visit a GP, hospital or clinic for check-ups/consultations or treatments? This includes annual reviews or reviews once every 2 years for a condition.
  3. Are you visited by a doctor or nurse, or carer for check-ups or treatment (including dressings being changed)?
  4. Have you been admitted into hospital or undergone surgery in the last 12 months?
  5. Have you received treatment for heart, stroke, or respiratory related illness in the last 5 years?
  6. Are you currently waiting for any results of tests/investigations or awaiting any consultations or referrals or on any waiting lists?

This policy does not automatically provide cover for medical conditions you are already experiencing when you purchase this policy or have experienced in the past Please click on the information button for details of what pre-existing medical conditions you must disclose.

Pre-existing medical conditions should be declared if you or anyone to be insured under this policy would answer “Yes” to the above questions. Please be aware if you are answering medical screening questions on behalf of another person to be insured on this policy you must be as aware of their full medical record, including any medications they are currently taking and any treatment they are undergoing, as if they are your own. If you do not declare any pre-existing medical conditions when applying for cover, your policy may become invalid, and any claims could be partially or fully rejected. This could leave you responsible for significant costs.

Please be aware there will be no cover under this policy if anyone named on the policy is travelling under the following circumstances:

  • If you been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
  • If you are travelling with an undiagnosed condition(s) that you were undergoing/awaiting tests or consultations at the time of buying the policy or booking the trip (whichever you do last).
  • If you are travelling intending to receive or knowing you will require medical treatment, including any pre-planned or arranged consultations, reviews or appointments which could lead to treatment.
  • If you are travelling against the advice of a medical practitioner or would be travelling against their advice if you asked for it.

Eligibility conditions

  • You are 18 years of age or over at the date of buying the policy and are travelling from and returning to the UK.
  • You and all persons to be insured must have their main address in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands (excluding Guernsey) or the Isle of Man and have lived there for at least 6 of the last 12 months
  • You and all persons to be insured are registered with a GP in the part of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands (excluding Guernsey) or the Isle of Man where you live.
  • You must not be travelling against the latest FCDO advice
  • You and all persons to be insured are in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or the Isle of Man when the policy is purchased and have not started a trip
  • You confirm you have answered all questions accurately and in full, as not doing so may invalidate your cover and may affect any future claims you make
  • You and all persons to be insured will obtain any recommended vaccines, inoculations, or medications prior to your trip
